According to Holidaycottages.co.uk, a self-catering specialist, bookings this week are up 85 percent compared to the previous week, an increase of 214 percent over those who want to take their dogs with them.
Matt Brayley of Holiday Cottages said, “So many of us rediscovered the joys of staying last year, which has resulted in a lot of people rebooking for 2021
“Together with the reservations made by our customers who have postponed their vacation, this means that significantly more properties will be booked from Easter.”
We’ve rounded up some self-catering stays for the school holidays that are still available now.

Red Doors Farm, Devon
This cluster of six 5 hour cottages is set in beautiful countryside 3 miles from Honiton. The coasts of East Devon and Dorset are within easy reach.
There is a heated indoor pool with changing facilities as well as a petting area for animals and a soft play indoor area.

Tranmer House, Suffolk
Stay in this Edwardian former home of Edith Pretty, who commissioned Suffolk’s famous archaeological dig at Sutton Hoo, where an Anglo-Saxon grave ship was discovered.
The story of Sutton Hoo is told in the new film, The Dig, starring Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes, which will be streamed on Netflix starting January 29th.
