2021 MAGICAL ICE FESTIVAL IN ST. JOSEPH

Visit the magical Ice Festival 2021 in St. Joseph all weekend and experience countless great events, including an ice carving competition, a 5 km ice festival, a fish throw and much more! The event is free and you can get a full schedule of events for the weekend by clicking here.

HOLLAND AND MUSKEGON WINTER MARKETS

Both Holland and Muskegon are hosting winter outdoor farmers markets this weekend! The Dutch outdoor winter market is open on Eighth Street Market Place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday. Muskegon’s outdoor winter market also takes place on Saturday, but from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 242 W. Western Ave. Visit each market’s website for COVID-19 guidelines and more information.

STORYWALK® IN DOWNTOWN GRAND HAVEN

Take the whole family outside and read! When you come to Washington Ave. strolling along Grand Haven, you can read “Winter Is The Warmest Season” by Lauren Stringer. Pages from the illustrated children’s book will be posted in downtown shop windows for your family to read together. Grand Haven makes the StoryWalk® stroller-friendly with its downtown snowmelt system!

JOHN BALL ZOO VIRTUAL RENTAL EVENT

Our friends at John Ball Zoo are looking for new, seasonal team members! You are looking for employees to take on roles in retail, food and beverage, guest services, experiences, buildings and grounds, and education. WINTER WORLD IN DOWNTOWN GR

The downtown arts festival in Grand Rapids is still good! If you haven’t checked it out already, check out all of the art installations along with a pop-up performance on Friday night! You can also see the Ice Luminaries at Gillett Bridge. This is over 600 pounds of ice with a light frozen in. All ten ice lights make up over 6,000 pounds of ice! DROP-IN STUDIO IN THE GRAND RAPIDS ART MUSEUM

The Grand Rapids Art Museum is hosting a drop-in studio session. Learn How To Use A Mini Loom To Create Unique Textures Using A Variety Of Weaving Materials! WINTER TREE AND NATURAL HIKE

The Hudsonville Nature Center is hosting a winter tree and nature walk led by naturalist Craig Elston this Sunday at 2 p.m. You and your children can watch winter trees being identified by their buds and bark in winter, along with winter birds and other animal activities.
