New bloggers shine at Zim Blog Awards 2021

Bloggers were recognized at the Zim Blog Awards 2021. The winners list was published yesterday.

Notable among the winners was the Afro-tribal musician Stewie Le Savage, who lives in Bulawayo and was featured on his blog, according to Testewielasavage and Ingudukazi Magazine.

A blog (an abbreviated version of “weblog”) is an online journal or informational website that displays information in reverse chronological order, with the most recent at the top. It is a platform where a writer or group of writers can share their views on a single subject.

In a statement, the organizers of the award said they had received overwhelming contributions that testify to the growth of the medium.

“After 302 nominations, 6,681 votes, and hours of reviews and reviews, we’ve reached the zenith of the 2021 Zim Blog Awards. Over the past three editions, we’ve learned and grown, and we’ve been delighted to see that the quality of content creators has grown with us.

“This time around we have five recurring winners and 20 new winners from previous editions. A positive sign for us that symbolizes the growth of our creative industry. It could also be a silver lining in the pandemic as it gave creative people time and opportunity to discover, reinvent, create and improve, ”said the organizers.

“The fastest growing category is the Personal Blog category. Personal blogs, which grow 15% in this issue and 8% in the previous issue, prove to be a great place to express your creativity.

“Often times we see content creators using them to write about their personal experiences covering a variety of topics from book reviews, mental health, fitness, food, relationships, politics, exercise, and social topics, but they really aren’t on any particular subject limited. A lot of the personal blogs are a mix of well-designed content, and this category continues to be the most competitive each year. “

However, the organizers noted that there are some categories that haven’t grown as much, as some had no more than three viable nominations while some had no nominations at all.

“Photography, health and fitness, travel, food and drink, spirituality and religion, automotive, education, family and parenting, hair and beauty, humanitarian aid, relationships and dating are just a few of the categories that received few nominations. There is a great opportunity for content creators to get out of their personal blogs and dominate other categories, ”said the organizers.

“It was pleasant for us this year to see nominations for the corporate blog category. Signs that the local business world is investing more in content creation and that consumers are appreciating it enough to nominate their favorite business blogs. “
