Travel Retail Awards 2021: Entries now open
TRBusiness is proud to announce that the consumer-voted 2021 Travel Retail Awards have officially opened and entries are now being accepted by clicking here.
Companies competing for the industry’s only consumer-voted award for their category will have until Sunday May 23rd to submit their nominations.
As announced, The award ceremony will take place on the evening of September 28th in Cannes during the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference.
Submissions for the product awards remain at £ 245 per entry (frozen). All airport, cruise and in-flight awards are free to enter. For details on entry criteria and terms and conditions, please visit the Travel Retail Awards website.
NEW CATEGORIES; MORE IMPACT
The 2021 Travel Retail Awards chosen by consumers will once again be presented in cooperation with the leading Swiss research agency m1nd-set.
Every single product that takes part in the awards is submitted and rated by a group of more than 5,000 traveling buyers, drawn from the unique international database of m1nd-set.
The products are also checked by a team of international travel bloggers and video bloggers with a wide range of experience.
The blogger / vlogger panel has the added benefit of being able to touch, feel, and experience each product for yourself prior to judging.
The results generated by the database of m1nd-set account for 70% of the total score for each product, while the points given by the bloggers and vloggers account for 30%.
Products must either already be available in travel retail or should be introduced in the industry shortly. Products that were previously included in the rewards can be re-entered.
The “Best Sustainable Airport, Airline and Cruise Retail” award extends the “Green” category to all companies that are active in the entire travel retail sector (airports, airlines or cruise lines). Entry for the “Best Sustainable Airport, Airline and Cruise Retail” award is free. This award applies only to airports, airlines, and cruise lines and their respective retailers or F&B partners.
Another new feature of the Travel Retail Awards in 2021 is the “Best Sustainable Supplier” award. This is listed under the product prices.
