Why Travelers Should Book Summer 2021 Vacations Now

The United States is almost ready to begin the much-anticipated travel boost that will accelerate the travel industry’s recovery.

Millions of vaccinated Americans could travel again by the end of May. But who will lead the wave? What will summer be like for vaccinated Americans? And how can travelers get the cheapest flights if they are still unsure of when to be fully vaccinated or when to plan their trips?

There are many reasons why travelers should plan a summer trip and why it is important to book their summer trip now.

Currently, the elderly are most of the Americans traveling, most of whom have already been vaccinated. According to a study by Bank of America, 73 to 92-year-olds make up the majority of flight bookers.

Additionally, there have been more travel optimism and travel bookings in countries like the UK and Israel, two countries that have been at the forefront of vaccination efforts. With two million vaccinations a day in the US, America is on the verge of something like this.

A recent Gallup poll found that 60 percent of Americans believe the COVID-19 pandemic is getting better and the number of cases and hospital stays have decreased since the start of the year.

It also saves more time and money on vacation, which means more people can travel financially as well. Scott’s Cheap Flights surveyed its two million members, 83 percent of whom said they were planning two or more domestic trips in 2021 and 86 percent of whom were planning to travel internationally.

To plan summer trips, don’t hesitate to book your flights. Book them before May when demand is likely to skyrocket. Another reason for booking is that all Basic Economy tickets booked until the end of March can be changed without penalty, while the change fees for the main economy and higher are permanently eliminated.

“Now is the time to book for travelers looking for a cheap flight this summer,” said Scott Keyes, Founder and Chief Flight Expert, Scott’s Cheap Flight. “If you wait to book your summer flights until May, it’s unlikely that there will be many cheap flights left.”
